Guide — 3D Layered Clothing

Wear it in Roblox Studio

Five steps from your downloaded package to a published, wearable accessory — no modeling skills needed.

Your download is a zip with three files: YourItem.fbx (garment + inner/outer cages), texture.png and README.txt with these same steps. Unzip it first.

  1. 1

    Open the Accessory Fitting Tool

Open Roblox Studio → Avatar tab → Accessory Fitting Tool.

  2. 2

    Import your FBX

Click Import and choose your item's .fbx from the unzipped download folder.

  3. 3

    Preview on a body

Studio detects the inner/outer cages automatically; preview the clothing on a body.

  4. 4

    Fix a missing texture

If the texture looks missing, select the mesh and set its TextureID to texture.png (imported alongside).

  5. 5

    Generate and publish

Adjust the fit if desired, then Generate MeshPart and publish as an Accessory (Roblox charges the usual upload fee).
